The Tiger Comeback
Sariska’s journey from losing its tigers to rebuilding a thriving population is one of India’s most inspiring conservation stories.
- 2005: Sariska’s wild tiger population was found to have disappeared because of widespread poaching.
- 2008: The first tiger was successfully relocated from Ranthambore to Sariska.
- 2009–2012: Additional tigers were introduced, followed by successful breeding and the birth of cubs.
- Today: Sariska has a growing tiger population, demonstrating the success of long-term protection and conservation efforts.
